Nancy was asking about pictures from the Houghton house, so I got some pictures from Aimee's old blogs. The first picture is a picture of part of the kitchen - the kitchen in this house is probably the biggest room in the house! (And bigger than our kitchen in GR.) The second picture is Marais sitting in the doorway between the kitchen and the downstairs hall, with the front door at the end of the hall. One of the neat things about this house is the beautiful woodwork and wood floors. Our next door neighbor said her dad built this house, at the turn of the century (last century - early 1900's, that is). (She is a sweet, elderly woman in her 90's.) The last picture is a view from the front porch, looking across the Portage canal to Quincy mine. Less snow on the hill across the way now, but we did see 3 patches of snow on the hill Memorial Day! I have some more pictures from last weekend but they're on another computer. I'll post them tomorrow. Tonight - GO WINGS!!!
