I was feeling rather smug, proud of myself for rewiring my lamp and putting it all back together in one try - that is, until I was getting ready to upload that first picture to my blog and noticed that I had forgotten the harp!!! So, it actually took a couple of tries - for both lamps but I think I've got them both put back together now and I love them! I bought these 2 lamps at the Armada Flea Market when I was in high school - for my "hope chest". This weekend, I almost sold the 2 lamps for $2 at the 200-mile-long garage sale -- except that nobody would buy them. So, I brought them home and decided to clean them up. As I took them apart to rewire them, I polished the brass pieces and washed the marble base and porcelain globe and they sure cleaned up nice! Now I just need to get new shades and I'm remembering why I bought them in the first place - I love them and I'm going to keep them! In garage sale news, we didn't buy anything except a beach towel and a rice cooker (spent a total of $1.25) and we did very well with the benefit sale!

I have one more lamp from the basement to rewire - it is a larger lamp that I got at St. Vinny's in Hancock this spring when my mom and I were galavanting around the upper midwest. I think I'll do that after dinner. Have a great week all of yous!!! Love ya!
