Last weekend, being the first full weekend we were home after driving out to Vancouver, Jim and I had quite a to-do list for the weekend!  We sat down at lunchtime Friday and made a list of what we wanted to do or accomplish over the weekend.  Lets see... it included cleaning our bedroom, straightening up Walt's bedroom, dropping some stuff off at Goodwill, going to the boat show (not for a boat but for 2 very specific boat-related items), making pickled eggs and on Sunday, going to church, the pool and yoga.  Funny thing is, I'm not sure the 2 pictured home improvements were on the list at all.  

The first picture shows the blinds that Jim put up on the stairway.  There are 2 windows on the stairs and the dog sits on the stairs and looks out the lower window when Jim is gone.  If he goes for a run without her, she gets angry and barks.  Then usually when he comes home, for his cool-down, he takes her for a walk.  It is pretty cute, except that she exhibits this kind of behavior at 5 or 6 am, Jim's favorite time of the day for a run. Also my favorite time to be sleeping! Well, the dear, considerate husband that he is, he decided the solution was new blinds.  And sure enough, when she can't see him coming and going outside, she doesn't bark and doesn't wake me up.  Woo hoo!  He's such a sweetie!

The 2nd picture shows the "stickers" we put on the wall in our bedroom.  I bought these just before Christmas and we've been meaning to put them up since then.  When we were cleaning our bedroom, we decided it was a good day to put them up.  I love them!  And so does Jim!  Maybe something like this would be cool (in a different color) for Wally's cool loft apartment - or when Aimee finds a new home in Anchorage.  They're really handy because they can be taken off the wall pretty easily and they don't damage the paint. 

So, tomorrow is Friday.  I'm not sure we'll make a list for this weekend - it just seemed so necessary last weekend because we had so much to do.  It was also great to check things off the list.  We'll see.  Have a great weekend everyone!  Hugs!
