We made it! Had a few nervous moments in GR, as the flight to Detroit was delayed, but it ended up not being as long as they originally estimated. The flight to Detroit was 22 minutes and as we got off the plane in Detroit, we heard them paging us - for an upgrade to Business Class. They gave away our coach tickets, confident that we'd take the upgrade. It was great! Got right on the plane and settled in for the long ride. Slept for maybe 3 hours, landed in Amsterdam and went thru customs then on another plane to Helsinki. No free upgrade on that flight, but it was only a couple hours. Auli was waiting for us right as we came out - so fun to see her! She drove us to our hotel so we could settle in and get a shower. She is meeting us again in about 1/2 hour to go out to dinner.
